Throwing In The Towel

I waited a really long time before seeing The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Plot looks retarded, no chance it'll be funny, just another cheap throwaway. Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall both looked horrible. Really really bad. Both worked, wonderfully. Walk Hard looked insanely dumb. Role Models hopeless. Superbad just another Beerfest. Could. Not. Be. More Wrong. Talladega Nights looked awful and actually was awful -- hey, nobody bats a thousand. The bottom line is that I've been duped again. I Love You, Man looks pathetic, and none of the previews make me laugh. And yet it's getting raves. So here and now, I say fuck this. I will resolve to be optimistic about every single Apatow or Apatow-related film from here on out.

(Note the irony in this. Late to the party and all that. It's like becoming a Stones fan after Some Girls came out.)
